At certain points along a journey, one finds himself at an epiphany. An epiphany may seem the most obvious thing to the woman standing next to the duck, however to the bird it may seem a revelation beyond belief.
Just like this duck, I feel like with the recording of PeopleMusic, I have closed a chapter in my life. The new chapter opens new possibilities, most notably old stories told with a new voice.
We had a truly magical session at Systemss Two Studios in March, the result being a new record called Peoplemusic. I can't wait for you all to hear it within the next few months. Thanks Chris, Garth, Richie, Marta and Jean.

In september I embarked on a journey overseas with some dear friends. With the help of Bassist Michael Janisch, we set out on a 21 date tour of England. The esperience was unbelievable. We covered many of the cities and towns accross the country and managed to make some inredible friends along the way. The idea was to combine Richie Barshay's New York Trio (consisting of myself on saxophones & mandolin, and Dan Blake on saxophones) with two great musicians from England: Jim Hart on Vibraphone and Michael Janisch on bass.
